{"id":330,"date":"2021-06-08T14:05:28","date_gmt":"2021-06-08T14:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/esme.local\/?page_id=330"},"modified":"2025-03-04T16:21:09","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T16:21:09","slug":"research-at-esme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/research-at-esme\/","title":{"rendered":"Research at ESME"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-esme-intro\">Although the primary mission of any French engineering schools is education, research at ESME nevertheless remains an important goal on the agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-research-and-education-at-the-heart-of-our-agenda\">RESEARCH AND EDuCATIoN AT THE HEART oF ouR AGENDA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-research-in-the-training-of-esme-students\">RESEARCH IN THE TRAINING OF ESME STUDENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our research strategy has been set up to ensure coherence and continuity of research and educational activities, while taking into account social and environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research covers all fields of expertise in&nbsp;the education of engineers&nbsp;at the school, from energy to information and communication technologies; the lines of research incorporate the major issues of our times, such as health and autonomy (especially in relation to the aging of the population) and energy management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-different-forms-of-research\">DIFFERENT FORMS OF RESEARCH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Research at ESME takes additional forms as well, running from upstream research (in partnership with university and institutional labs) to technology transfer (contractual research on behalf of a partner) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/recherche-ecole-ingenieurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">joint research<\/a>&nbsp;(research involving several industrial or institutional partners, the benefits of which can be both industrial in the short term and academic in the longer term).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-lines-of-research-at-esme\">THE LINES OF RESEARCH AT ESME<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The lines of research, which are connected to the topics taught in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/research-engineering-school\/laboratories\/\">ESME laboratories<\/a>, fall within the domains of energy and collaborative robotics, embedded electronics and the Internet of Things, information theory and telecommunications networks, and Big Data and augmented reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-networks-joint-research-and-academic-research\">NETWoRKS, JoINT RESEARCH, AND ACADEMIC RESEARCH<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ESME is a member of several competitiveness clusters incorporating numerous industry players, and has also been able to cultivate a variety of institutional partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-competitiveness-clusters-and-networks\">COMPETITIVENESS CLUSTERS AND NETWORKS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Competitiveness clusters owe their creation to the new industrial policy that was introduced in France in 2004.
