Did you know that you could study at ESME through the Erasmus Program?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ERASMUS program is&nbsp;<strong>financed by the European Union<\/strong>&nbsp;and proposes measures designed to support exchanges between institutions of higher education in Europe by targeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An improvement in the quality, and the reinforcement of the European aspect, of higher education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An increase in the mobility of students, teachers, and university personnel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced multilateral cooperation between institutions of higher education and institutions of higher education and companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transparency and recognition of qualifications acquired during higher education and advanced professional training in Europe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the 2021\u20132027 period, the Erasmus+ programme emphasizes several priorities that align with those of the European Union, notably &#8220;inclusion and diversity.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The goal? &#8220;To make international mobility accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their financial or personal situation.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That\u2019s why a flat-rate supplement of \u20ac250 per month is added to the grants awarded to students considered to have \u201cfewer opportunities.\u201d You may be eligible for this if, for example, you have a disability or suffer from a long-term illness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may also qualify if you live in a municipality classified as a rural revitalization zone (ZRR) or in a priority urban neighborhood (QPV). Consequently, ESME has made it mandatory for 1st year students of the&nbsp;engineering program&nbsp;to spend a semester studying abroad at a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/partners\/\">partner university<\/a>. the school has set up a selection procedure for this purpose, where partner universities and students are matched according to the student\u2019s interests and academic level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school also makes it possible for students to spend the last year of their engineering studies in a partner university abroad, if their reasons for doing so are justified and if such a stay would be beneficial to their career plans. Finally, all students are encouraged to take internships abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"436\" height=\"367\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/etudiants-ingenieurs-international.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/etudiants-ingenieurs-international.jpg 436w, https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/etudiants-ingenieurs-international-300x253.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/etudiants-ingenieurs-international-53x45.jpg 53w, https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/etudiants-ingenieurs-international-107x90.jpg 107w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-teacher-mobility\">Teacher mobility<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to student mobility, teacher mobility (inbound and outbound) is systematically integrated into the bilateral agreements of ESME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-events-in-support-of-international-mobility\">Events in support of international mobility<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The school continually heightens awareness among its students and entire personnel regarding the importance of mobility outside of France by regularly organizing events dedicated to international mobility: the&nbsp;<strong>presentation of universities<\/strong>&nbsp;during visits by partners,&nbsp;<strong>international conference weeks<\/strong>&nbsp;in English with guest lecturers from abroad,&nbsp;<strong>festive gatherings<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>accounts of students returning<\/strong>&nbsp;from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-innovative-initiatives\">Innovative initiatives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of initiatives are underway to strengthen inbound student mobility, such as the signing of bilateral agreements which include&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/research-engineering-school\/laboratories\/\">laboratory internships<\/a>&nbsp;at ESME and the development of an academic offer taught in English (long and short programs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-partners\">PARTNERS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pedagogical-collaboration-between-esme-and-its-partners\">Pedagogical collaboration between ESME and its partners<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>ESME develops&nbsp;<strong>bilateral agreements on every continent<\/strong>&nbsp;to ensure its students have the widest possible selection of destinations for their study abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Special attention is paid to the engineering programs on offer at the partner universities that are chosen. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\/contact-us\/\">International Office<\/a>&nbsp;coordinates collaboration between the school and its partners to establish programs of study in each destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-partners-around-the-world\">Partners around the world<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>5 BRICS countries<\/strong>\u202fare priority destinations for ESME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school also aims to strengthen its ties with the&nbsp;<strong>world\u2019s English-speaking countries<\/strong>&nbsp;(for linguistic reasons), and&nbsp;<strong>Eastern Europe<\/strong>, because of the excellent mathematics and engineering results which are often achieved there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, ESME works on developing Erasmus + bilateral university agreements to encourage student mobility and enrich its partnerships in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-exchange-between-partners\">Exchange between partners<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The International Office regularly welcomes delegations from partner universities, willing to give the opportunity to theyr students to study at ESME. When doing so, it makes a point of creating a link between its visiting partners, the ESME pedagogical and administrative team, and its students. Similarly, ESME also travels to its partner universities to meet these universities\u2019 own individual teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the school participates in large international conferences (NAFSA , APAIE, EAIE) as well as fairs and workshops organized by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.campusfrance.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Campus France<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nplusi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">n+i<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cge.asso.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CGE<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdefi.fr\/en\/the-cdefi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDEFI<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-research\">RESEARCH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esme.fr\/en\">international research<\/a>, ESME\u2019s strategy consists of taking advantage of its numerous partnerships established in the promotion of education to identify convergences and develop joint projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contacts have already been established, e.g. with the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bipt.edu.cn\/pub\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BIPT&nbsp;<\/a>(Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, China), and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tut.ac.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TUT<\/a>&nbsp;(Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ESME is proud to be a signatory to the Erasmus Charter.
