On November 17th, 2025<\/strong>, Salah-eddine Laidoudi<\/strong>, researcher at ESME<\/strong>, successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled
\u201cDeep Learning for Immersion and Natural 3D Interaction within Intelligent Mixed Reality Experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He presented his work before an international jury of leading academics from Sorbonne Paris Nord, Universit\u00e9 Paris 8, the University of Staffordshire, and T\u00e9l\u00e9com SudParis<\/strong>, highlighting the scientific quality and impact of the research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supervised by Prof. Samir Otmane<\/strong> and Dr. Madjid Maidi<\/strong>, the thesis explores how deep learning<\/strong> can enhance immersion and natural 3D interaction in intelligent mixed-reality environments<\/strong>, contributing to the next generation of human\u2013computer interfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This research was funded by ESME<\/strong> and conducted within the ESME Research Lab<\/strong>, in collaboration with the IBISC Laboratory (Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Evry, Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay)<\/strong>, and was presented at several international conferences<\/strong>, where it received valuable feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
